There is no denying the Chicago White Sox are struggling this season. They sit with a 27-77 record, the worst by far across Major League Baseball, and they will certainly be sellers at the deadline.
While they have struggled this season, the team has plenty of talent that should excite teams looking for upgrades. From pitchers to sluggers, the team should be busy over the next few days.
The deadline is set for July 30, so contending teams are starting to press. Today, we look at three South Siders that could be on the move very soon.
3 White Sox players who could be on the move ahead of the MLB Trade Deadline
#3 - Tommy Pham
Tommy Pham has been an exciting piece for the White Sox this season. Through 66 games, he is hitting .264/.332/.378 with five home runs, 18 runs batted in, and 33 runs scored. Pham will be a free agent in 2025, making him a great rental.
#2 - Luis Robert Jr.
Luis Robert Jr. is a star that would significantly help a contending team. From what he can do at the plate to the ground he can cover in the outfield, there may not be a better option on the trade market.
MLB insider Jeff Passan believes the Philadelphia Phillies would be the perfect fit. He could be the impact outfielder the team has been searching for as they get ready to make another postseason run.
#1 - Garrett Crochet
Garrett Crochet is thought to be one of the top pitchers who could be moved at the deadline. He is coming off a year where he converted to being a starter for the White Sox and made the All-Star team.
Being 25, he is still so young and fresh that he is still developing. There is tons of interest from contenders for the lefty, including the Los Angeles Dodgers as well as the New York Yankees.
