The Tampa Bay Rays are one of the most interesting teams to monitor as the MLB Trade Deadline approaches. Although the Rays find themselves 4.5 games outside of an American League Wild Card spot, there is a chance that the team decides to become sellers instead of buyers this summer.

It seems that the Tampa Bay Rays will lean toward becoming sellers given that they have already moved one of their veterans in the form of Aaron Civale. If the team does decide to trade away more of their veterans, they will have a number of intriguing names who could be made available.

A look at three players who could be dealt by the Tampa Bay Rays before the MLB Trade Deadline

Zach Eflin

Zach Eflin is currently the highest-paid player on the Rays roster and given the franchise's frugal reputation, they would likely be open to moving on from the starter. The 28-year-old has been solid for the Rays this season, however, given the size of his contract, the team may be more than willing to ship him off to a contender.

A number of clubs across the MLB are looking to bolster their pitching rotation and someone like Zach Eflin could likely be available for a cheaper asking price than some other available pitchers. The St. Louis Cardinals are a team worth monitoring according to MLB.com's John Denton.

Pete Fairbanks

Pete Fairbanks has been a strong closing option for the Rays, however in a similar fashion as Eflin, Fairbanks' contract and age (30) could make him available before the MLB Trade Deadline. Several contenders such as the New York Yankees are looking to bolster their bullpens this summer and Fairbanks could be an interesting target.

Amed Rosario

Amed Rosario signed a team-friendly $1,500,000 contract to join the Tampa Bay Rays this offseason and has performed well above that pay rate. The veteran shortstop is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year and the Rays would likely prefer to get something for him instead of potentially losing him for nothing. Rosario's skillset could fit with any contender, given his defensive versatility.
