New York Yankees Playoff History
New York Yankees

The New York Yankees, famously called "The Bronx Bombers," are a distinguished Major League Baseball (MLB) team hailing from the Bronx, New York City, USA. The franchise began in Baltimore in 1901 under the management of John McGraw. Two years later, in 1903, the team relocated to Washington Heights and was renamed the New York Highlanders. During this period, they finished second in the American League (AL) in 1904, 1906, and 1910.

The New York Yankees adopted its present name in 1913 as the press had stopped referring to the team as the New York Highlanders by then. Since then, the Yankees have solidified their status as one of the premier franchises in baseball history by clinching nearly every significant title the league has to offer.
