Former Cincinnati Reds pitcher Trevor Bauer told Nati Sports on social media that he was approached by multiple teams saying he would rank highly on their rotation.

Nati Sports said that some of the Reds players hated him. Bauer singled out two of his former Reds teammates - without naming anyone - who had an issue with his stance inside the clubhouse.

"2 of them disliked me. 1 because I stood up for the rest of the team’s interests, specifically young players who felt they couldn’t speak up, on a controversial issue, and he disagreed with “my” stance, not realizing it was the stance of the majority of the team," Bauer wrote on X.
"The other disliked me because I demanded better effort from our veterans because the effort we were getting from this specific individual was not acceptable in a winning culture. Apparently losing for 10 straight years s**ks the competitor out of you," he added.

Bauer continued:

"But we got it resolved in the end and had the best year the reds organization has had in the last decade. Neither of those individuals are with the team anymore."

Though Trevor Bauer didn't mention any names, he referred to players belonging to the Reds when he was there (2019–2020) but are no longer with the organization.

Right from the start of the offseason, Bauer was contemplating some of the decisions that led him to be here.

He and his agent, Rachel Luba, advertised the pitcher on social media but with no luck, despite the pitcher being free of any allegations. That led him to go south of the border and play in the Mexican League for Diablos Rojos del México.

During his exchange with Nati Sports, he revealed that some teams want him back, but it's the league that doesn't.

"Well one team told us it’s not their decision, it’s an mlb decision. One team told me I was “too expensive” even though I offered to play for minimum. Another team told us they have covered some stuff up in the past that they don’t want the media digging into to find out about," Bauer wrote on X.

Trevor Bauer hasn't been in MLB since last appearing for the LA Dodgers in July 2021. Following sexual assault allegations placed against him, the Dodgers put him on administrative leave until the investigation cleared up.

MLB suspended the former Cy Young winner for 324 games in April 2022 for violating the league's joint domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse Policy. On appeal from Bauer's camp, the suspension was reduced to 194 games.

However, despite being cleared to play in the MLB, Trevor Bauer hasn't garnered interest from any team.
