With the MLB London Series just a few heartbeats away, New York Mets star Francisco Lindor and his wife Katia are touring the boroughs of London, exploring the historic and beautiful city. Lindor's Mets and NL East rival, Philadelphia Phillies are scheduled to play a two-game series at the London Stadium in Stratford for the league's third annual London Series extravaganza.
Despite the busy schedule, the couple is spending time in the borough of Greenwich in London, which is known for its beautiful riverfront along the River Thames.
Katia shared photos of them on Instagram, posing in what seems like a vintage ship docked and utilized as an attraction, with the caption:
"A moment for this dress & this man of mine ❤️🔥"
Francisco Lindor and Katia Reguero married in December 2021 and have two daughters named Kalina Zoe and Amapola Chloe.
Francisco Lindor ecstatic about international games
Having grown up in San Juan, Puerto Rico, it would seem hard for Francisco Lindor to catch a live MLB game. Despite the difficulty, Lindor had the chance at the age of nine, before he signed his first professional contract.
In 2003, a young Lindor watched the Montreal Expos face off against the Texas Rangers at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan. The Expos played 22 "home" games in San Juan in their penultimate MLB season before moving to D.C.
In an interview with Sports+, the Mets star expressed his excitement about the MLB World Tour and the major league's efforts to share the game of baseball with the world.
“I think it’s good for the game because it helps it expand,” Lindor said. “There could be many kids who attend who turn into actual baseball fans."
Lindor is not only expressing his delight in being involved in the London Series through sightseeing and interviews but has also prepared special equipment for the international series.
"Francisco Lindor using a custom London Bridge bat during #LondonSeries BP."
The shortstop showcased a bat with a barrel containing the figure of the famous London Bridge, which is one of the city's famous landmarks and a trademark attraction.
