New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge bid adieu to 2024 in style and stitched up some amazing memories both on and off the field during the year. Judge started the year slow in the MLB with the Bronx Bombers but since picking up the pace in May, the mighty slugger never looked back.
Judge became an All-Star, was the AL leader in both home runs and RBIs, won another Hank Aaron award, won a Silver Slugger award and was named on the All-MLB First team to cap off an amazing 2024 MLB season.
Judge took to social media on New Year's Eve to post a series of images of the special moments he spent with his teammates and loved ones.
The caption on the Instagram post read:
"2024➡️2025."
Two of Judge's teammates, Tyler Wade (former, now a utility player with the San Diego Padres) and RHP Clarke Schmidt (current) were quick to jump on the post to voice their reactions:
"They weren't ready!!" @clarkeschmidt said.
"Yessir!!" @tylerwade wrote.
In the images uploaded, Judge could be seen with his wife Samantha Bracksieck and their furry dachshunds, Penny and Gus, in a couple of pictures. In others, the slugger is with his teammates Giancarlo Stanton, Gleyber Torres (former), Anthony Rizzo and more.
Aaron Judge produced a blockbuster 2024 season with Yankees on his way to second AL MVP award
Aaron Judge will look to match, or even eclipse, his offensive prowess from 2024 next season. Judge slashed for .322 BA, 58 HRs, 144 RBIs and 1.159 OPS with the Bronx Bombers in 2024 on his way to the second AL MVP award of his MLB career.
Adding another piece of happy news for the Yankees superstar from 2024, according to a report by Page Six, Judge and his wife Samantha are expecting to welcome their firstborn in 2025. The report claims Bracksieck is pregnant with a baby girl.
Judge and Co. will hope to bury their demons from the 2024 World Series loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers and come back stronger next year.
