Aaron Judge and Jose Altuve have a massive height difference. At 6 feet 7 inches, the Yankees captain towers over the Houston Astros' franchise star, who is 5 feet 6 inches. The two appeared on DAZN's promotional poster for Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk II.
On Thursday, DAZN shared a post on Instagram showing the heights of prominent sporting legends, mostly North American, compared with Fury and Usyk. At 6 foot 9 inches, "Gypsy King" is one of the biggest heavyweights. On the other hand, the Ukrainian Usyk is among the smallest in boxing's premier weight class.
"Fury and Usyk Sized Up Against Sporting Legends" - DAZN's caption inside the first snap.
Nevertheless, the two heavyweight boxers are considerably bigger than most sporting legends. Aaron Judge featured in the second snap of the Instagram post, with Shaquille O'Neal and LeBron James. Altuve featured in the 10th and final snap, with the 4 foot 8 inch tall Olympian Simone Biles.
Michael Jordan, Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, Muhammad Ali, Novak Djokovic, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tiger Woods, Carlos Alcaraz, Serena Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Canelo Alvarez, Lionel Messi and Rachel Gunn were the other athletes on DAZN's Instagram post.
The fight is set for December 21 at the Kingdom Arena, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The pair met for the first time in the same venue, where Usyk handed Fury the first defeat of his professional career, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight boxing champion in the four-belt era.
Funnily enough, those in combat sports seem to have little to no knowledge of MLB stars. Recently, MMA star Jon Jones was asked who would win a hypothetical fight between Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani. The UFC heavyweight champion had no idea who they were.
Aaron Judge's appreciation of Jose Altuve changed after the Astros cheating scandal came to light
In 2017, Aaron Judge and Jose Altuve were the front runners to win the AL MVP award. During an appearance on ESPN's "First Take" with Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman, Judge shared admiration for the Astros superstar.
Citing Altuve's consistency, the outfielder picked Altuve to win the 2017 AL MVP. Like he predicted, Altuve won with 27 first-place votes, while Judge won two. Jose Ramirez came up third with a first-place vote, with Mike Trout coming fourth, and Francisco Lindor at fifth.
However, after the Astros' sign-stealing scandal came to light, Judge didn't hold back in expressing his disdain for Houston's actions. Cody Bellinger even claimed Altuve didn't deserve to win the MVP award. As for Judge, he steered clear of the controversy but deleted the congratulatory tweet he sent to Altuve.
