Aaron Judge is silently making the 2024 season as epic as his record-breaking run two years back. The Yankees captain is currently on pace for 60 plus home runs. He received praise from legendary talk show duo Boomer & Gio who complimented him for his genuineness and honesty.

Aaron Judge is batting at .334 this season with 47 home runs and 117 RBIs. In 2022, he commanded similar numbers on his way to an American League record-breaking 62 home runs, dismantling Roger Maris from the top spot who had hit 61 blasts back in 1961.

Discussing the Yankees' latest form on the "Morning Show with Boomer & Gio" on WFAN, Boomer Esiason, ex-NFL MVP himself, praised Judge for his efforts. In a direct comparison to some of the earlier greats, most of who were caught in steroid scandals, Boomer noted that Judge's MVP-caliber season is going under the radar even as he completes these achievements all clean.

"He is the face of baseball. He is all of it, he is the number one athlete in New York and the way he's going about it. His respect, his dignity, his authenticity is off the charts," Boomer said. [4:36]

Judge has formed a formidable offensive combination with Juan Soto. They became just the third pair in Yankees history since Babe Ruth-Lou Gehrig and Mickey Mantle-Roger Maris to complete 36 home runs each within 127 games of the regular season.

"These two guys at home at Yankee Stadium, they are worth the price of admission and some... Those guys performing in the postseason feels like a lock because of the way they're hitting right now," Boomer added.

Aaron Judge hits 48th homer in shutout victory vs. Guardians

The New York Yankees overtook the Cleveland Guardians for the best record in the American League after they won the three-game series. They took the series finale in emphatic fashion winning 6-0 on the back of a homer by Aaron Judge and a three-run bomb by Giancarlo Stanton.

Judge's solo shot to right field was his 48th of the season and 4th in the three games against the Guardians. The Yanks are currently 75-53 and top of the AL East standings.
