Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, and other Yankees stars joined the Little League game between Illinois and Pennsylvania at Lamade Stadium hours before they played Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers. The experience was one to behold, as they received a warm reception upon their arrival to watch the game.
While speaking to the media after the game, Judge spoke about his engagements with fans there while also trading gear with Little Leaguers.
One media member asked Judge whose baseball cap he was wearing, to which the MLB home run leader said:
"Oh, a couple of kids—we did some trades, so they traded hats, gave me some Yankee hats, and they gave me some of their hats. I just got out of the shower, so I needed a hat to wear, and it felt pretty fitting," Judge said.
The Yankee stars split up while sitting with groups of fans. Gleyber Torres, Oswaldo Cabrera and Oswald Peraza were with the Little Leaguers from Venezuela, while pitching coach Matt Blake sat with the Little League home team of his home state, New Hampshire.
Clay Holmes and Jake Cousins engaged with the team from Tokyo.
Giancarlo Stanton remembered his old days when he was part of Little League.
“Around eight [years old], I started trying to wear a big league hat of whatever team I was on,” Stanton said via The Post. “You start copying what the players do. I just couldn’t imagine, at that age, being able to hang out with big leaguers at the time.”
Juan Soto finds one fan with physical attributes matching Aaron Judge
The Yankees stars made their trip to the Little League World Series Complex along with a group of kids with whom they sat and engaged in fun conversation. Soto, in particular, was seated beside a Little Leaguer who the Yankees star thought could hit a lot of homers, like Aaron Judge.
"I bet you hit a lot of homers, huh? You should, you should. You have a huge chance. Like Judge," Soto said to the young kid.
This fun outing by Aaron Judge and co. was followed by a 3-2 loss at the hands of the Detroit Tigers at Bowman Field.
