Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Alec Marsh has been making waves on the mound, but off the field, he’s also winning hearts as a loving husband and dog dad. Marsh is married to Makenna Harper.
The wedding ceremony took place in Fallbrook, California, on Dec. 7. The couple got engaged in November 2023 at the Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix, Arizona. Marsh also has a dog named Thor, a Shetland Sheepdog, to complete his family.
On Wednesday, Marsh unwinded with his furry companion. His wife Makenna took to social media to share an endearing story featuring Alec comfortably lounging on their couch while cuddling their adorable dog. In the photo, Alec was seen cradling the fluffy pup, while dressed in colorful Marvel-themed pajama pants.
The dog in the image appears to be a Miniature Bernedoodle or a Cockapoo, based on its curly fur, small size and distinctive coat pattern.
Alec Marsh's wife Makenna were among three Royals soon-to-be wives celebrated at Kauffman Stadium
Following the conclusion of the 2024 season, three Royals stars were supposed to change their status from bachelors to proud husbands.
Ahead of their weddings, the group of Royals' wives and girlfriends threw a joint bridal shower party for soon-to-be wives at a Kauffman Stadium suit in October. They were Michael Massey's partner Jane DeJarld, Bobby Witt Jr.'s partner Maggie Black and Alec Marsh's partner Makenna Harper.
The soon-to-be wives were in all white while the rest of the group were in blues, a nod to the Royals' jersey color.
Black shared glimpses from the party on her Instagram.
“These ladies made us brides feel SO incredibly special as we celebrated our bridal shower at the K!! Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this the most beautiful night!” Black wrote.
Second baseman Michael Massey, who proposed to DeJarld on May 20, 2023, tied the knot with her on Nov. 23 in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. Shortstop Bobby Witt Jr., who proposed to Maggie Black in December 2023, exchanged vows on Dec. 14 at The Thompson Hotel in Dallas, Texas.
