While Alex Bregman's free agency negotiations with the Houston Astros hit a stall, he shared updates from his off-field life. His son, Knox, who is going to be a big brother in early 2025, is all smiles in the latest post from the third baseman.
Christmas is a night away and many kids including Knox are expecting Santa Claus to arrive and put a gift under their pillow. In Bregman's post, Knox himself adored the Santa Claus vibe and he has his toy car working as his reindeer.
On Tuesday, Bregman shared an adorable snapshot of Knox zipping around the family home on a black toy car, embracing Santa Claus. He was dressed in a cozy cream-colored sweater adorned with festive details, paired with gray pants and stylish sneakers. A soft gray blanket trailed behind his toy car like Santa’s sleigh.
"Knoxie Claus," Bregman wrote in the caption.
Some important few months coming up for Alex Bregman & family
Alex Bregman, who played nine seasons with the Houston Astros, is a free agent currently. His family which includes wife Reagan and son Knox has a decision to make for two important events coming up on their timeline.
In Oct., the Bregman family announced the arrival of their next son in the early 2025. They shared an Instagram video featuring Knox wearing a "big bro" T-shirt. He can be seen popping a baseball resulting in a blue smoke to suggest arrival of a new member to his family soon.
"Little brother coming 2025," read the caption of the post.
Another important event is Alex Bregman's next stop in the majors. With Reagan born and brought up in Texas, the family will be more than inclined to re-sign but for the right price.
The Astros have reportedly offered Bregman's camp a six-year, $156M offer. However, the third baseman wants a contract worth over $200M and is ready to wait it out.
By the looks of it, there are several teams looking to acquire him but his asking price maybe is where the negotiations have hit a wall. On the south of this year, maybe a decision will come.
