Although Alex Bregman and Josh Hader are no longer playing in the MLB playoffs, the extended offseason has allowed more time with their respective families. Recently, Hader's wife, Maria, captured an adorable moment between the next generation of Astros stars.
On Monday, Maria Hader took Knox Bregman and her son, Lucas, to the zoo. With both tykes being around three years old, it was an excellent chance for the pair to bond. After Maria put the story up on her Instagram account, Reagan replied, captioning the story post with the words "My fave little duo."
The trip to the zoo was far from the first interaction between the two youngsters. Both Reagan and Maria routinely upload photos of their two sons playing together. The two baseball-loving toddlers were born within weeks of each other in the summer of 2022.
The 2022 season was the first season for Josh Hader and his family in Houston after making the jump from the San Diego Padres. After inking a five-year, $95 million deal with the Astros, Hader went 8-8 with a 3.80 in a career-high 71 appearances.
Like Hader, family is also very important to Alex Bregman. Since welcoming Knox into the world in August 2022, Bregman's son has been a regular addition to the crowd and has even stolen the show at various media engagements.

Bregman will see his five-year, $100 million deal with the Houston Astros expire at the end of the season. Though he was given a standing ovation during the last game of the season, many believe that the third baseman will be offered the chance to re-sign.
Alex Bregman keeps fans guessing ahead of free agency
One of his team's most successful hitters over the past half-decade, there can be no doubt that Astros fans want to keep Bregman around. As the New Mexico native wrote on his Instagram last Sunday:
"Astros fans thank you for the support all year long, we came up short this year, but proud of the guys for the effort and the fight"
While nobody can know Alex Bregman's plans for sure, at least his son's social connections give a pretty solid reason to stick around town for next year.
