Former MLB superstar Alex Rodriguez shared a lighthearted moment on camera with Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer David Ortiz. The pair appeared for the Fox Sports studio broadcast alongside New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter on Sunday night. Ortiz was handed a ragdoll puppet with his likeness wearing a Red Sox jersey, which was later named "Little Papi" by Rodriguez on social media.
Alex Rodriguez posted a short clip of David Ortiz holding the puppet and seemingly making a poor attempt at a bit of ventriloquism on his Instagram profile.
David Ortiz is a 10-time All-Star who spent the vast majority of his 20-year major league career with the Red Sox and won three World Series rings with the franchise. He ended with close to 2500 hits and more than 500 home runs and 1700 RBIs. "Big Papi" was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022 on his first year of eligibilty.

Although Rodriguez and Jeter shared a long rivalry with Ortiz, as well as within themselves, the trio have seemingly formed a much closer relationship with each other after ending their playing careers.
He was absolutely off: David Ortiz on Shohei Ohtani's poor outing in NLDS Game 2
The San Diego Padres hammered the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-2 in Game 2 of the National League Division Series at Dodger Stadium on Sunday evening. Following a spectacular postseason debut the previous night, Shohei Ohtani struggled badly in this clash after ending 0-4 with two strikeouts. David Ortiz shared his thoughts on the Japanese superstar after the game.
"I haven't seen Ohtani look like that on pitches," Ortiz said. "This is the guy that I thought would stay on the off-speed pitches. He seemed like he was having difficulties at catching up to the backdoor slider from Yu Darvish, plus the fastball. He was absolutely off."
Padres starting pitcher Yu Darvish was the star on the mound after pitching seven innings, allowing three hits, two walks, and just one earned run. Meanwhile, Fernando Tatis Jr. hit two home runs, and the rookie Jackson Merrill also added three runs for a comprehensive victory as the Dodgers failed to carry forward the momentum from their win in the opening clash of the five-game series.
The action will now shift to Petco Park for Game 3 between the two NL West rivals on Tuesday evening.
