Former New York Yankees infielder Alex Rodriguez congratulated the latest inductees into the MLB Hall of Fame Class of 2025 on Tuesday night. His former Yankees teammates CC Sabathia and Ichiro Suzuki, alongside legendary closer Billy Wagner, were elected to the ballot by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America in an announcement made on MLB Network.
"A-Rod" took to X/Twitter to shower praise on all three elected to Cooperstown while voicing his admiration over the "new class of legends".
"Congratulations to Ichiro Suzuki on being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame! Without a doubt one of the greatest pure hitters I've ever seen," Rodriguez said on X.

"@CC_Sabathia is one of the best teammates ever! We became a championship team when he joined our roster in 2009. Congratulations on being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame big guy! Well deserved," he said in another post.
"And @BillyWagner1313 in the Hall of Fame! Congrats to one of the best closers in the game," he wrote.
"Incredible to see the new class of legends inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame tonight. Looking forward to @andruwjones25 and @carlosbeltran15 getting in next year, so close," Rodriguez said in a final post highlighting all three inductees.
"A-Rod" was teammates with Sabathia and Suzuki in the Bronx for several years and together the trio were part of the 2009 World Series winning roster. Sabathia and Suzuki were elected to the Hall of Fame in their first ballot while Billy Wagner managed to enter Cooperstown in his 10th and final ballot.
Suzuki garnered 99.7% of ballots while CC Sabathia garnered 86.8% of votes and Billy Wagner received 82.5% of ballots in the official announcement by the BBWAA on Tuesday night. The trio joins two previous Classic Baseball Era Committee electees, Dave Parker and the late Dick Allen to complete the MLB HOF Class of 2025.
