Former New York Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez is certainly one of the most accomplished players in the history of the game, with three MVP titles, 10 Silver Slugger Awards and nearly 700 home runs. Rodriguez is also considered to be one of the most cerebral players of his generation, although his actions did not always sit well with the fans, rivals and even teammates.

At present, Alex Rodriguez is a businessman with investments across a wide range of industrial sectors. He has also been a guest lecturer for the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University on Strategic Pivoting. On Saturday, Rodriguez celebrated his seventh year in this role with an update on Instagram, while his eldest daughter Natasha posted her reaction to it in the comments.

"Thank you, Stanford GSB and Allison Kruger, for another incredible week guest teaching Strategic Pivoting at GSB," Rodriguez wrote in his message along with the update. "I’ve had the opportunity to teach this class for the last 7 years, and each time I leave more inspired than the last. Thanks to all the talented students for making this class one to remember!"

Earlier this week, Alex Rodriguez had shared an Instagram post looking back at his decision to play for Team USA instead of the Dominican Republic in the 2006 World Baseball Classic. He said that this past Friday marked the 19th anniversary since the incident.

Rodriguez was born and brought up in the United States, although both his parents were Dominican immigrants. His choice sparked a debate on the importance of national pride and cultural heritage in sports.

"In recent weeks, following dialogue with caring friends and players, both Dominican and American, I reached the conclusion that if I played in the Classic, I would play for the United States and honor my American citizenship," Rodriguez told ESPN at the time regardng his choice .

Back then, Rodriguez was the superstar third baseman for the New York Yankees and the reigning American League MVP. He also played for the Seattle Mariners and the Texas Rangers earlier in his career.
