New York Yankees legend Alex Rodriguez’s girlfriend Jaclyn Cordeiro recently shared her early morning gym workout on Instagram. It wasn't any regular gym routine as it showed Cordeiro's dedication during the winter.
“You have to rely on discipline when the motivation isn’t there,” Cordeiro wrote on Wednesday.
Cordeiro’s motivational message seeks to inspire fans and followers to find the drive to chase their fitness goals, especially when it’s not easy to keep going.
Judging from Cordeiro’s physique and following on social media, she is an example for people all over seeking to achieve the best possible fitness level.

In a 2023 feature in Men’s Health, Alex Rodriguez showed off his fitness routine and dedication to nutrition.
A camera crew visited Rodriguez’s home, following him around as he detailed his workout regimen. The former World Series champion opened the door to his fridge, revealing its contents.
Rodriguez follows a healthy diet based on fresh fruits, protein and water. While he kept sodas in his fridge, he made it clear that they were for guests.
Rodriguez added that he has cut down on meals over the years. During his playing days, he ate six times a day, with meals focused on meats and carbohydrates. He eats less now, focusing on healthier food choices.
The tour then shifted to Rodriguez’s home gym. The fully-equipped room is where the MLB commentator spends his mornings getting workouts in. He said that he tries to work out seven days a week, preferably early mornings.
An interesting part of his home gym was the steam room, which he enjoys spending time in every morning. The steam bath allows him to relax and recover from the rigors of staying in shape in his post-playing days.
Rodriguez compared his current workout regimen to when he was still playing. According to the MLB legend, the biggest difference is in the intensity of each workout.
His workouts are now less intense as his hip surgeries don't allow him to engage in highly intensive cardio routines like sprinting. His goal is to maintain a healthy weight while focusing on stretching and keeping his muscles strong.
Rodriguez's workout routine seems effective as he remains in great shape despite his playing days being well behind him.
