Alex Rodriguez is still quite the busy man after hanging up his baseball cleats following the 2016 season. He has been kept busy with his family and business ventures.
One of those business ventures is being a minority owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is also an MLB studio analyst for Fox Sports, which keeps him in the spotlight.
Being such an important person, A-Rod is typically seen traveling from place to place going to events and conventions. He recently showed his followers some behind-the-scenes action as he attended the NRF Convention.
The contention was held in New York bringing in thousands of those from the retail industry. It is a trade show for those in the space where A-Rod met with Ralph Lauren's daughter, Dylan Lauren, and Goldman Sach's CEO David Solomon.
Both Solomon and Lauren are well off. Lauren's father, Ralph owns the brand under his name, where he is worth $10.8 billion. Solomon is also well off, being valued at $200 million.
Alex Rodriguez signs baseballs at recent event
Alex Rodriguez also signed a few dozen baseballs at the event. He has been one athlete that has not been shy with their autographs over the years. He signed a ton during his career with the Yankees and that has not changed after.
The rise in sports memorabilia has been on the rise since the COVID-19 Pandemic with athletes taking notice. A-Rod has been on a roll, signing cards, jerseys, baseball, and all other sorts of items.
Even after putting his name on thousands of items, his autograph still fetches a pretty penny. His autographed MLB jerseys are still going for $200 over on eBay depending on the jersey.
