Alex Verdugo and Carlos Rodon's family were at Nationals Park as the New York Yankees took on Washington in the series finale on Saturday. While both Verdugo and Rodon were busy representing the Yankees on the turf, their kids had a good time with each other.
On Wednesday, Verdugo's girlfriend Yamille Alcala shared an adorable photo of their son Efrain and Rodon's daughter Willow. The children can be seen enjoying their time, with Rodon's wife Ashley, re-sharing the photo on social media.
"Willow & Efrain baseball babies," Alcala wrote in her story.
Alex Verdugo and Yamille Alcala have two sons, A.J. and Efrain and a daughter, Alianna Judith Verdugo, whom they welcomed on April 29.
After getting married in January 2018, Ashley and Carlos Rodon struggled to conceive a child, with the couple booking an appointment for IVF therapy before Ashley became pregnant naturally.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Willow, in 2019. In 2021, they welcomed their second kid, Bo, and, in 2023, they became parents for the third time, welcoming Silo to their household.
Ashley penned a heartfelt note for her firstborn Willow on the occasion of National Baby Rainbow Day. She mentioned about her previous two miscarriages before the family welcomed Willow.
"My entire nine months of pregnancy with Willow there were times I would randomly break down crying because I was so happy that she was healthy and we were going to have a family," she wrote.
"It really hasn’t stopped for five years. Moments come where I just look at her, and I remember how much pain filled my heart after our first two losses, only to be given the sweetest most precious girl."
Carlos Rodon and Ashley's charities to host Willow Gala next month
Carlos and Ashley Rodon's experience with pregnancy led to The Willor Grant, a fund founded to help couples who can't afford expensive IVF therapy.
It's in collaboration with The Carlos Rodon Foundation and Ashley's Next Egg Foundation. The foundation will host the inaugural Willow Gala next month, on Sept. 30. The event is scheduled to take place from 6-10 pm at The Delamar Greenwich Harbor.
The single ticket cost with access to a cocktail party and reception will cost $1,000. Sponsorships ranging from $7,500-20,000 will also be there with different features and access.
