Alex Vesia and Kayla, who were engaged in the 2022 MLB offseason, made a major relationship move exactly one year ago. After proposing to his girlfriend Kayla in Nov. 2022 at Marine Street Beach in San Diego, the left-handed ace tied the knot in Jan. 2024.
On Sunday, the couple celebrated their first anniversary, sharing an array of photos from the year 2024 while also reciprocating love for each other through their post's caption. Vesia opted to share throwback photos from their wedding, which was attended by their loved ones.
The post accompanied a caption directed to his wife, Kayla:
"Happy One Year Anniversary Babe! ❤️ You are my best friend, my biggest supporter and the love of my life! You are the best momma to our little chickens and an amazing wifey! I love you so much! Can’t wait to see what year 2 has in store for us!"
Kayla Vesia reciprocates love for Alex Vesia with a post of her own
Shortly after Alex Vesia's post, Kayla shared a loving message for her husband, who won the World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2024.
The post included photos from their trip to Arizona, where they enjoyed a hot air balloon ride from Rainbow Ryders. The post accompanied a caption directed for Vesia:
"Happy one year to us babe! 🥂 What an incredible first year of being married, this year set a record of how many things can happen in just one year! You make life so fun, I love that I get forever with you. ♥️"
Since Alex Vesia and Kayla tied the knot in Jan., the couple didn't have enough time for a honeymoon since training, especially for pitchers, started early in Arizona. This led to the couple going on their honeymoon trip this offseason. Almost a month ago, Vesia shared a series of photos from their honeymoon trip to Mexico.
"Honeymoon 🌙 Most lovely time with my husband! What a first year of being married! Every year together, just keeps getting better! Thank you for loving me the way you do! ❤️🔥" Kayla wrote in caption.
On the baseball front, Alex Vesia is coming off an excellent year, pitching a 5-4 record while posting a 1.76 ERA.
