It has been an incredibly entertaining offseason so far for the New York Yankees. After missing out on re-signing four-time All-Star Juan Soto in unrestricted free agency, the club has wasted little time in rebuilding their roster around superstar Aaron Judge. The club's front office has used both free agency and the trade market to help address some of its weaknesses heading into 2025.

General Manager Brian Cashman and the rest of the New York Yankees front office have made impactful moves this offseason. Max Fried, Cody Bellinger, Devin Williams and Paul Goldschmidt are a few of the notable moves that the Bronx Bombers have made. Despite adding some superstars, it appears that the team might not be finished as Luis Arraez trade rumors continue.

According to MLB insider Jeff Passan, the Bronx Bombers continue to have potential trade talks with the San Diego Padres regarding three-time batting champion Luis Arraez. Even though Arraez is one of the best pure hitters in baseball, he is rather limited elsewhere, which has caused some fans to take to social media to share their thoughts on reported trade rumors.

"Downgrade from Gleyber" - One fan posted online.
"Do they want to look into anyone who's actually good or nah?" - Another fan shared.
"- Gleyber +Arraez = literal negligence" - One more fan added.

Luis Arraez may leave something to be desired in terms of home run power or racking up stolen bases. However, his ability to get on base is something that could drastically help the Yankees lineup. Getting a man on base ahead of Aaron Judge and Cody Bellinger could be a surefire way to rack up runs. This is why some fans celebrate the club's offseason and potentially bringing Arraez into the fold.

"I'm a true blue @Mets fan but say what you will about losing Soto, this would be a major get by the Yankees and a continuation of their amazing recovery from losing Soto. Arraez is a batting champ -- certified. And at Yankee Stadium, all of a sudden, he'll be able to hit 20 hrs" - One fan posted.
"We’re having better off-season than the Mets" - Another fan added.
"Hot take: if the Yankees get Arraez for not a huge overpay. they won the off season" - One more fan shared.

The New York Yankees have internal options for the infield if they opt not to acquire Luis Arraez

After allowing Gleyber Torres to leave in free agency, there have been questions about the team's plans for second base. This is why names like Luis Arraez and Gavin Lux have been linked to the Bronx Bombers. That being said, if the team cannot reach an agreement for either player, they are not without their own internal options.

The team could look to get creative with some of the players already on their roster. Jazz Chisholm Jr. has experience at second base, so the team could explore moving him back there while also having a combination of DJ LeMahieu and Oswaldo Caberea manning third. No matter what the team decides, there appear to be many options remaining for the Yankees.
