Apart from a drastic 2-1 series loss against the Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees have faced yet another setback in the form of Anthony Rizzo's injury.

The Yanks 1B exited early from the game during the seventh inning when he awkwardly collided with the Red Sox pitcher Brennan Bernardino while running around the bases.

According to reports, Rizzo has suffered a right lower arm injury. After he exited the game, he was immediately taken for a fluoroscopy at Fenway Park and the test results came back negative.

Yanks skipper Aaron Boone has confirmed that the veteran 1B will be undergoing another set of tests in New York on Monday. After that, the Yankees would have a clearer picture of the situation and estimate the possible time for the player's return to the pitch.

"He's in some pain in that lower arm in a number of places. He'll get a lot of tests tomorrow and see what we're dealing with."
