Anthony Santander remains one of the most productive sluggers remaining on the open market. The 30-year-old outfielder was tremendous last season for the Baltimore Orioles, setting a new career-high with 44 home runs en route to his first All-Star selection.

Even though Santander has been a solid source of home runs throughout his career to this point, the veteran put it all together last season. Thanks to this level of production, the outfielder is poised to land a sizable contract this offseason.

With the free agent market for outfielders getting progressively smaller and smaller, potential suitors of Santander's signature continue to become more apparent. According to MLB insider Jon Morosi, the Toronto Blue Jays and Detroit Tigers could be among the teams most interested in bringing in the power-hitter outfielder.

"We know the Blue Jays have been very active in free agency but they have yet to land the big piece, and they've finished second or third depending on your interpretation of different free agent pursuits," Morosi said on "MLB Hot Stove." "At some point, a major name will take their offer and that person could be Anthony Santander, who knows the American League East very well."

Blue Jays fans will be the first to tell you about the team's struggles to land a notable free agent this offseason after missing out on the likes of Juan Soto, Corbin Burnes, and Gleyber Torres. That being said, Santander could make a significant impact in the Blue Jays lineup next to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette.

If they are going to land a big fish, they will need to outbid some other teams, including the Tigers, who could use some major reinforcements on offense and who have already signed Gleyber Torres.

"I tend to think that the Tigers and Blue Jays are near the top of the list, if not the number one and number two potential for Anthony Santander," Morosi added.

The Toronto Blue Jays have reportedly already made an offer to Anthony Santander

According to MLB insider Hector Gomez, the Toronto Blue Jays are not only showing interest but have reportedly already made a significant offer to the outfielder. Gomez posted on X stating that the Blue Jays have reportedly sent a four-year, $82 million contract offer to the former Baltimore Orioles slugger.

"I (am) hearing Jays offer to Santander is 4/82," Gomez wrote.

If the Blue Jays were able to land Anthony Santander to this contract, it would be a bargain considering some of the contracts handed out so far this offseason. One example is Michael Conforto, who signed a one-year, $17 million deal with the Dodgers. Last season, Conforto hit 20 home runs with the Giants. The reported offer to Santander is only $3 million more per season.
