Aroldis Chapman is hard at work this offseason. The relief pitcher may not have to report to Spring Training for about another two months, but he is staying in good shape anyway. That includes doing hefty workouts in the gym, with one involving a 260-pound dumbbell chest press.

Chapman shared the video to his Instagram story on Tuesday, putting sweaty emojis and tagging his trainer. Chapman, who has had some of the highest velocity in baseball for years, is one of the strongest players in the sport.

The exercising didn't stop there, though, as Chapman took to the outside world for something to work on his technique. A pitcher's windup is important, and the new Boston Red Sox star was working on this with a towel.

With the towel, Chapman can make sure his form and mechanics are good while not having to throw a ball at anything. It's what allows him to do this sort of thing in his driveway without causing any damage. He captioned it, making his feelings known about his current situation:
"Blessed."
The former Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Yankees star has a million followers on Instagram, so many people got an inside look at what he was up to yesterday.
Boston Red Sox had a thorough background check before signing Aroldis Chapman
Aroldis Chapman has some previous domestic abuse allegations hanging over his head, but that didn't stop the Boston Red Sox from bringing him in. According to Boston.com, the Red Sox looked into everything before signing him.

While speaking to reporters at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, President Craig Breslow said:
“I can speak to our decision around Aroldis and say that it is a decision that we took incredibly seriously. And our background and reference-checking was extensive. This is a guy who’s been in good standing across five organizations for the last eight years, and in no way does that diminish the severity of what happened."
The Red Sox reportedly talked to former teammates, coaches, officials, and executives. Breslow said the feedback was overwhelmingly positive, so they had no qualms about going ahead with the signing.
