Astros superstar Jose Altuve's wife Nina pens heartfelt message for mom, celebrates special day with sweet surprise

Houston Astros superstar Jose Altuve has been married to his wife, Nina Altuve, since 2006. The couple are parents to two daughters. With more than 30,000 followers on Instagram, Nina is fairly active on social media, often sharing family, MLB and fashion-related content.

On Saturday, Nina shared three Instagram stories highlighting the birthday celebrations of her mother, Beatriz Sandoval. The first story was a selfie of Nina with her mother, captioning it with heartfelt messages.

"Happy birthday beautiful mommy, thank you so much"

"My sweatheart, I love you so much" - Nina captioned the Instagram story in Spanish.

The second story showed Nina and one of her daughters blowing the candle with Beatriz, a sweet surprise. The third and final story showed Jose Altuve's mother-in-law celebrating with Yosbeth Valderrama, a Venezuelan cardiologist from Houston, Texas.

Like the Astros superstar, Nina was born in Venezuela. She has a degree in bioanalytics. Nina is also involved in charitable endeavors with her husband.

As for Jose Altuve, the 2017 AL MVP is the Astros franchise star. Earlier in 2024, Altuve signed a 5-year, $125,000,000 contract, making him an Astro through his age 39 season.

The Astros could be set to lose a couple of big stars; Alex Bregman is a free agent, while Kyle Tucker was traded to the Chicago Cubs. However, Altuve recently expressed willingness to move to the outfield to bring Bregman back to the team.

Jose Altuve's 2024 season ended in the AL Wild Card Series at the hands of the Detroit Tigers. Nevertheless, Altuve seemed to have a wonderful year, evidenced by an Instagram post on December 30 from his wife, Nina.

All the pictures were taken from the back, a hint that the family is looking forward to 2025. The first snap showed Altuve and his wife walking as they held hands. The second snap was similar, but they were not holding hands and Nina wore a minidress, unlike the casual ones in the first.

The third snap showed their two daughters walking as they wore identical outfits, while the fourth snap was from the beach, with Nina holding the hands of her daughters as they watched the sunset.

Up next was a snap of their daughters walking to the beach. The penultimate snap showed the daughters cheering their father, again in identical outfits. The final snap showed Altuve holding the hands of his oldest daughter while he held the youngest on his shoulder.
