Having a stance to show a commitment to making a positive impact off the field, the Atlanta Braves went out of their way. The team strived to put a smile on Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman's wife, Chelsea Freeman by gifting a flower bouquet.

Freeman who played with the Braves for 12 seasons before signing with the Dodgers in a controversial contract fiasco returned to Truist Park for a three-game series.

This was his second MLB game against his former team. Naturally, emotions were running high. Therefore, the Braves decided to give Freemans a warm welcome with beautiful flowers.

Taking to Instagram, Chelsea posted a picture of the floral arrangements made by the Atlanta Braves. She captioned the IG Story writing:

"As always, sweetest welcome home flowers."

Freddie Freeman was expected to stay with the Atlanta Braves for his entire career. However, his contract dispute with the team in 2021 changed everything.

Despite the Braves offering him a five-year, $125 million contract before the trade deadline, Freeman turned down their offer and became a free agent.

The Braves later increased their offer to five years and $140 million during the offseason, but Freeman and his agent insisted on a sixth year.

As a result, the Braves acquired Matt Olson from the Oakland Athletics and signed him to a long-term extension, effectively ending Freeman's time with the team.

On March 18, 2022, Freeman ultimately signed a six-year, $162 million contract with the Dodgers.

On Monday, the Los Angeles Dodgers staged a comeback to defeat the Atlanta Braves with a final score of 8-6 in the first game. And, Freddie Freeman's three-run homer in the fifth inning gave the team the lead against the Braves.

“It felt good,” Freeman said while talking about his head-turning performance at Truist Park. "Just trying to keep the line moving.”

The second fixture of the three-game series between the Dodgers and Braves will take place today at SunTrust Park.
