Spencer Schwellenback (5-7, 3.78 ERA) took the mound for the Braves, while Landon Knack (2-3, 3.00) started for the Dodgers.
The Braves got the better of Knack from the get-go. The Dodgers starter allowed an RBI double to Matt Olson, which gave the home team an early 1-0 lead.
The Braves added four more runs off Knack. Gio Urshela and Jorge Soler's two-run home runs put the Braves ahead 5-0.
In response, the Dodgers scored one run in the third inning thanks to Miguel Rojas' solo home run. They followed it up with another run in the fourth as Tommy Edman drove in the second of the game.

Trending
Both teams struggled to score thereafter. The Dodgers bullpen took command after Landon Knack was pulled out after just two innings. The final run of the game came in the eighth, as Michael Harris drove in Whit Merrifield on an RBI double against Brent Honeywell.
The Dodgers offense struggled throughout the night and Raisel Iglesias from the Braves pitched a clean ninth inning to close the game.
With a 6-2 win on Friday, the Braves improved to 80-67 while the Dodgers slid to 87-60.

About the author
Krutik Jain
Krutik Jain is a journalist who has been reporting on baseball at Sportskeeda since 2022. It was in 2018 when the baseball bug bit Krutik, and already a cricket fan, he credits baseball's rules and Clayton Kershaw's pitching to have hooked him to the game.
A Kershaw and Mookie Betts fan, Krutik rates his favorite team LA Dodgers triumphing over Tampa Bay Rays in the 2020 World Series as his best baseball moment so far. His answer to the perennial "one player from the past you could meet" question is Jackie Robinson. Despite never having seen him play, Robinson's impact, legacy and trail-blazing journey have left an indelible impact on Krutik.
A rigorous fact-checker, Krutik likes reporting on the technical aspects of the game as well as off-field elements. When not watching baseball, Krutik is busy playing cricket, staying up to date with the happenings around the world and hiking.
