Bob Uecker was an important figure in the baseball world. While he had a short sting in the big leagues, he is not known for his playing days, but as the voice of the Milwaukee Brewers.

He served as the primary broadcaster for the Brew crew for the last 54 seasons. Unfortunately, the club announced on Thursday that Uecker had passed away at the age of 90.

Uecker was a staple for Milwaukee fans, especially former manager Craig Counsell. He grew up in the area as a child and would spend a good chunk of his childhood throwing a baseball against a roof and listening to the broadcasts.

Outside of his broadcasting abilities, Uecker was also a comedian. His funny nature and constant jokes were one thing that Milwaukee fans loved about their booth.

Outside of his work in the Milwaukee Brewers' booth, Bob Uecker was a natural on the big screen. One of his most prominent TV roles was in Mr. Belvedere, where he played George Owens.

Another role where baseball fans are sure to remember him was in the movie series Major League. In the series, he played Harry Doyle, the often-frustrated announcer of the Cleveland Indians.

Uecker also played some smaller roles throughout his life. He was in an episode of Futurama and also did an episode on Monsters At Work where he played a parody of himself named "Bob Yucker."

Uecker had one of the most unique careers any broadcaster in the sport has ever had. His unique skillset and enthusiastic approach over the years demonstrate this. He was a legend in the MLB, and his presence in the booth will certainly be missed by more than just Milwaukee fans.
