Francisco Lindor's wife, Katia, lashed out at the traveling schedule of the NY Mets for the second half of the season. After completing a seven-game homestand, the ballclub will be on the road for ten straight games against four teams. Through this span, the Mets roster and support staff will be traveling a distance of 8,236 miles.
Katia Lindor was unsettled at the prospect of her husband traveling such an absurd amount of distance over the next ten days with the team and shared SNYTv's post on her Instagram story with the caption:
"Tbh baseball players don't get enough credit. This schedule is utterly absurd."
Francisco Lindor met his wife, Katia Reguero, on Instagram. While speaking with the New York Post in April 2022, Lindor opened up about how he met his wife. He said:
"I messaged her on Instagram. Her picture popped up and I was like, 'This girl is beautiful!' "
He further added:
"We talked for three months and then I met her in Arizona 'cause I was out there for spring training. We just hung out and I was like, 'I think she's the one.' At first, I was a little bit like, 'Ahh, I don't want to really commit,' but I knew that she was the one."
The couple welcomed their first daughter, Kalina Zoe, on November 4, 2020. The duo got married a year later, on December 16, 2021, in Miami, Florida, and welcomed their second daughter, Amapola Chloe, more than a year later, on June 17, 2023. The happy family of four resides in Queens, NY, where Francisco plays ball with the NYM.
While his decent performances have helped the ballclub win many games this season, he was still snubbed from receiving an All-Star nod for the 2024 Midsummer Classic.
Katia celebrated Francisco Lindor's multi-home run game against the Marlins
The Mets played the series finale against the Marlins on Monday, and Francisco Lindor's multi-home run performance helped the NYM win the tie and share the spoils of the four-game series. Lindor's wife celebrated the feat by sharing a story on her Instagram account.
Francisco Lindor has been one of the better players for the Mets this season and has commanded a respectable offensive stat line. Lindor is currently leading all the major offensive stats for the NY Mets this season.
