Reigning NL Cy Young winner Blake Snell hasn't had the best start to the season but with the trade deadline approaching, he has shown his Cy Young-winning form. Saturday saw the San Francisco Giants southpaw rip through the Colorado Rockies' lineup with 15 strikeouts, the most by any pitcher in a game this season. Moreover, it was also Snell's career-high strikeouts in a game.

His wife, Haeley, applauded her better half with emojis in place in an Instagram post. She reposted an achievement post by the Giants for the pitcher and reacted to it.

Snell's 15 Ks came just short of tying the Giants franchise record. Christy Mathewson struck out 16 in 1904, while Jason Schmidt tied the record in 2006.

It seems Blake Snell is showing Cy Young level just at the right time as the Giants reportedly face a decision on whether to trade him or place their trust in him to see them home this season.

Since being reactivated from a groin injury on July 9, Snell has been baseball's best pitcher, posting a 0.75 ERA in 24 innings while striking out 30.

Which teams would like Blake Snell's service for the second half of the season?

With trade rumors swirling, suggesting the Giants ship out their ace, multiple teams have reportedly shown interest in his acquisition.

Teams in need of a quality starting arm include the Los Angeles Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles, New York Mets, San Diego Padres and to some extent, the Yankees and Red Sox as well.

However, it seems unlikely that the Giants would give their starting hurler to someone in their division, which rules out the Dodgers and the Padres. One team that seems more in need of Snell's arm is the New York Mets who just suffered a blow after Kodai Senga was reportedly ruled out for the regular season with a high-grade calf strain.

Orioles seem like another option and the Giants would be licking their fingers given the amount of talent the Baltimore club possesses in their farm system, which also includes Jackson Holliday.

It remains to be seen if Blake Snell will continue to pitch for the Giants or will be in new colors in his next start.
