It's been almost 10 years since Mookie Betts made his debut in the majors on June 29, 2014, with the Boston Red Sox. Fast forward to present, and Betts, the fifth-round pick, has etched his name in the history of the sport and will go to the Hall of Fame once he decides to hang up his cleats.

The two-time World Series champion had a party over at his house, where he invited his family, friends, teammates and other relatives to commemorate his 10th anniversary in MLB.

On Tuesday, he released a glimpse from the event, with snippets of his old batting clips and a jubilant party celebration to mark the event.

"Blessed to be able to play for 10 years and counting! I appreciate my wife for bringing so many friends and family together for this very special milestone! Let’s #keepgoing," Betts wrote in his caption.

In his 10 years in the MLB, Mookie Betts has accumulated various honors, including eight-time All-Star (2016–2019, 2021–2024), AL MVP (2018), three-time All-MLB First Team (2020, 2022, 2023), All-MLB Second Team (2019), six-time Silver Slugger Award (2016, 2018–2020, 2022, 2023) and six-time Gold Glove Award (2016–2020, 2022).

He was part of the United States National Baseball Team in last year's World Baseball Classic, winninh a silver medal.

Mookie Betts finds silver lining while on injured list

The Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop has been out since June 16, when he last played against the Kansas City Royals before a hit by pitch rendered his left arm fractured.

The expected recovery time is 6–8 weeks; according to the latest report from Dodger Blue, the recovery is going nicely. Amid all this, the Dodgers star enjoyed quality family time, which he would not have otherwise because of his baseball commitments.

“The one cool thing about this whole IL situation is that I really have gotten to spend a lot more time with my kids,” Betts said in an interview during the game against Milwaukee Brewers. “I haven’t gotten time to spend 4th July, watch fireworks with my kids before. So that was really really cool."

Betts considers this time a blessing:

“I haven’t really gotten in the pool in the daytime. Kynlee [Mookie Betts' daughter], swim with her, hang with her. I haven’t gotten to just go, wake up in the morning and go hit pickle balls with my wife.
"Like, I haven’t gotten to do these things and so, now, I’m getting to do it and in the summertime, not in wintertime. It’s a blessing.”

Before hitting the injured list, Mookie Betts was the Dodgers' leadoff hitter, slashing for .304/.405/.488 along with 10 homers, 40 RBIs and nine stolen bases. In his absence, Shohei Ohtani is batting from the leadoff spot.
