His previous team, the New York Yankees, has been trying to bring him back, while the New York Mets have already made an official offer for the outfielder.

Soto has been on the radar of five major teams, including the Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, LA Dodgers, Yankees and Mets. On Tuesday's episode of "TMKS Sports," sportscaster Michael Kay gave his take on the situation:

"The least desperate is the Mets, because they can still make hay this offseason by getting great pitchers, signing other players. ... But in terms of like a statement move, getting Soto taken away from the Yankees would be big. The Red Sox need him because their fan base is eroding, because they're sick and tired of John Henry not spending." (6:51)

Further, talking about Toronto, he said that the team might lose certain players like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (who signed a one-year contract in February) if it doesn't show that it wants to win by signing Soto:

"And the Blue Jays need him because they have to do something and they've got to show Vlad Guerrero that we're serious about signing you too, because if they don't bring in Soto, they might not get Vlad Guerrero back, they might not get Bo Bichette back, but I think they're desperate to bring back Guerrero." He believes that the Dodgers and Yankees are already generating great revenue, as they have been the talk of the town after their World Series clash. So, they're not in as much need of the outfielder as the rest.

Juan Soto's future acquisition is all the rage on the internet, and many believe that he'll make his decision before the winter meeting this offseason.

However, amid the debacle, Soto decided to play a prank on his fans. On Tuesday, he uploaded a video titled "The announcement you've been waiting for." The clip went viral, but the reveal wasn't what fans expected.

"This wasn't an easy decision, but after meeting with the team, it became clear what I wanted to be. That being said... Team Celsius. What? You were expecting a different announcement?"

Juan Soto said, revealing a brand partnership with the energy drink company, Celsius.
