Kansas City Royals superstar Bobby Witt Jr. had an outstanding season in 2024 before getting married at the end of the year. He and his better half Maggie recently returned from their Caribbean honeymoon in Antigua.
On Wednesday, Maggie Witt posted a video montage on Instagram along with an album of photographs recapping their honeymoon, prompting one of Witt Jr.'s older sisters, Kianna, to share her reaction in the comments section.
The video started with Bobby Witt Jr. and his wife arriving at their picturesque seaside resort and settling down in their luxurious surroundings. The couple seemingly embarked on a bicycle ride a little later and returned for dinner with a calypso band playing music on the beach.
It seems the Royals shortstop played some golf the next morning before going out on a bike ride once again. The pair returned for another meal with some music by the beach. The montage ends with Witt Jr. and his wife sharing a romantic kiss by the seaside with a sunset in the backdrop.
"Dreammmyyyy," Bobby Witt's sister Kiana wrote as she shared her reaction to the reel.
On the other hand, the photo album begins with an image of the first initials of the couple being inscribed on the sand with a plus sign in between. It also shows the newly married couple relaxing at the beach and a couple of photos of food, including a few platters of sushi.
Bobby Witt Jr. weds long-time partner Maggie Black
Bobby Witt Jr. married his long-time sweetheart Maggie Black on Dec. 14, 2024, at the Thompson Hotel in Dallas, Texas. The couple had been dating since their high school days. Maggie is a personal trainer by profession.
The ceremony was attended by several of his Kansas City Royals teammates, such as nine-time All-Star catcher Salvador Perez, second baseman Michael Massey, outfielder Hunter Renfroe and starting pitcher Cole Ragans. Other stars from the MLB included Andrew Benintendi, Whit Merrifield and Rusty Greer.
The wedding marked a happy ending to a memorable year for Witt Jr., which began with him signing an 11-year, $288.7 million contract extension with the Royals in February. He secured his place among the best players in the game after finishing as the runner-up in the American League MVP race after becoming the only shortstop in MLB history to post successive 30-30 seasons.
