San Francisco Giants pitcher Tyler Rogers and his wife, Jennifer Rogers, celebrated a special moment together as they welcomed a baby boy on Jan. 8.
On Saturday on Instagram, Jennifer shared the news of the arrival of their newborn with her followers. The post included photos and videos of the family with the baby.
The first picture shows their baby sleeping peacefully, as Jennifer captioned the post:
"Nolan Ryan Rogers made his debut on 1/8/2025 at 2:20AM! We are so in love with him already. Big brother Jack is being so amazing with him too! So proud of him! Soaking up every minute with my boys! 😍🥰😘"
This news got reactions from the spouses of Tyler Rogers's colleagues. Former Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford's wife, Jalynne Dantzscher; Giants pitcher Logan Webb's wife, Sharidan Morales; and former Giants player Alex Dickerson's wife, Jennifer sent reactions.
Tyler Rogers and Jennifer named their son after baseball icon Nolan Ryan, who regularly pitched above 100 mph and has an MLB-record 5,714 strikeouts.
Ryan was recorded at 100.8 mph by a radar gun in 1974. If that number were to be converted to the methodology used to measure pitch speed today, the result would be 108 mph. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1999 for his 27-year playing career.
