"Apeguen que nos vamos," Brusdar Graterol posted in his four-word reaction to the dominant performance from Wander Suero. "Guess we're going home."

Despite losing on Friday, Leones del Escogido defeated Tigres del Licey 4-1 the following night to move within one win of becoming LIDOM champions. Game 6 of the Final Series will be played on Sunday evening.

Brusdar Graterol made his MLB debut in 2019 with the Minnesota Twins after joining the team as an amateur international free agent. He was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers the following year in a deal that sent starting pitcher Kenta Maeda and catcher Jair Camargo the other way.

Over the next three years, Brusdar Graterol had established himself as one of the top relievers of the Dodgers bullpen when they acquired Wander Suero on a minor league contract for the 2023 season, which gave rise to the friendship between them. Graterol went on to enjoy his best season that year, posting 67.1 innings with a 1.23 ERA and .0965 WHIP.

Suero mostly featured in Triple-A, and he made just five appearances for the franchise. He joined the Houston Astros in 2024 and has signed a minor league deal with the Atlanta Braves for the upcoming season.
