Kyle Schwarber will complete 10 full seasons in the MLB at the end of the 2024 campaign. During his time in the big leagues, he has emerged as one of the more responsible and mature minds in the game. He is considered one of the clubhouse leaders of the Philadelphia Phillies roster.

Kyle Schwarber recently opened up about the mental struggles that he has had to endure over the years. On "The Phillies Show" podcast on Monday, he spoke in detail about his career's ups and downs. He also shared that any player in the league needs to have a clear mind when they go up to the plate or mound.

"What about the 10 ten outs I made or one bad call, the umpire made a bad call and I am still thinking about it during my at-bat," Schwarber said. "Those are all different external things that your mind can go to..."

He also pointed out that as teammates, it is important to talk about the challenges they face as being heard can make a difference. Schwarber then named a few of his teammates, Bryce Harper, Trea Turner and J.T. Realmuto, who have all gone through similar situations.

"If I am able to know that I have gone through those things and I have experienced them and I have always said this that things that you experience can be big learning points. If you can just be in the ear and make someone feel like they are not just the only person who's been through it and that I have been through it too. I am sure everyone else, all the biggest names in the game, Harp, Trea, JT our entire roster's gone through it," Schwarber added.

Kyle Schwarber's strong performance so far in September

Kyle Schwarber's numbers in September have been off the charts. In seven games so far, the two-time All-Star has hit 13-for-31 with a .419 average and a stellar 1.457 OPS. This includes five home runs — three of which came against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Schwarber's strong performance at the plate has also coincided with a good streak for the Phillies as they have won 11 of their last 15 games. However, their last two games during that stretch have been losses to the Miami Marlins.
