New York Yankees pitcher Marcus Stroman congratulated his captain Aaron Judge for being selected the starter in the MLB All-Star game. Judge has redeemed himself for his last year's absence with 3,425,309 votes in the first round of fan balloting.

It marks his sixth time as a starter of the American League in seven total appearances in All-Star Games. He couldn't make it in last year's break because of a sprained right toe. It's quite a big feat for Judge, and he received appreciation from his teammate, Stroman.

Stroman posted an Instagram story where he shared a post uploaded by the New York Yankees celebrating Judge's achievement as the starter and the top vote-getter. He also added a personal message to his story.

"Cap building a crazy legacy. @thejudge44," Stroman wrote.

This is the second time Judge has led the votes after 2022, when he grabbed the American League's Most Valuable Player Award. He also became the 11th player to be the top vote-getter multiple times since fan balloting began in 1970.

Aaron Judge has proved why he deserves to be the captain of the New York Yankees.

Marcus Stroman regrets his mistake of giving a three-run homer

Yankees starting pitcher Marcus Stroman continued his struggles, as he surrendered a season-worst three home runs in an 8-4 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday.

A key blow came in the fifth inning when Spencer Steer launched a three-run homer, putting the Yankees in a deficit they couldn't overcome. Stroman, who has seen his performance dip in six of his last outings, acknowledged his pitching woes.

“I’ve got to be better in that fifth and give us a chance there,’’ Stroman said. “I was one pitch away from keeping it to two runs. I didn’t do my job.”

The latest outing ties his career high for home runs allowed in a game. The once-dominant Yankees rotation will look for Marcus Stroman to rediscover his control and help stabilize their pitching staff. Stroman also tipped his hat to the sneaky skills of Cincinnati speedster Elly De La Cruz.

"He, for sure, takes a lot of focus. It feels like he steals bases very easily, so you have to have a priority on timing (and) slide steps, so you end up losing your focus on the hitter a little bit," Stroman added.

Marcus Stroman is figuring out a way to pull his team out of their quagmire even as he congratulated his captain for another All-Games start.
