New York Yankees starting ace Carlos Rodon made good strides on and off the field. After pitching to a 6.85 ERA in 2023, Rodon bounced back, registering a 3.96 ERA, making 32 starts compared to 14 in 2023. He made his first World Series trip with the Yankees before falling short against the LA Dodgers.

Off the field, Rodon and Ashley organized their first annual fundraiser, the Willow Gala, in September. The organization aims to benefit prospective parents by providing financial help for IVF treatment.

On Tuesday, with 2024 ending, Rodon's wife Ashley penned a lengthy note, recalling the events of the year. She expressed her gratitude to everyone who made their year special.

"2024 was a year of moments to remember," Ashley wrote in caption. "The quick moments in time of watching Carlos be an amazing dad, competing at Miss CT USA, our launch event for the foundation with the team, the Willow Gala, our first family starting their IVF treatment, and getting to see Carlos step onto the mound in a World Series game.
"It wasn’t without its challenges too, loosing uncle Randy has been a harder thing to come to terms with than I even initially even thought it would be. There was so much packed into this year I felt pretty overwhelmed at moments, but looking back how amazing a lot of those moments were just dreams that all came true in 365 days! Excited for everything 2025 has in store 🙏🏻 Greatful to God always and thankful to everyone who was apart of what made this year so special!"

Carlos Rodon and family upset by online threats

Sometimes it can be hurtful to see your team lose. But that doesn't warrant anyone to threaten players who they believe were the cause.

Following a rough outing in the ALDS against the Kansas City Royals. Rodon's family received threats online, which his wife Ashley shared on social media.

"DM’s already willlllld. I love interacting with everyone, but there’s no place for this shit," Ashley wrote.

Carlos Rodon also addressed this threat while talking to reporters.

"People are pretty disgusting at times. But I feel like that doesn’t explain Yankees fans. I don’t think that’s who they are," Rodón said. "I understand [fans] get frustrated with the game, but my message to fans all around is, 'We are human as well. We do make mistakes. We’re not always perfect. I’m, by far, not always perfect, and I understand frustration and I understand people get frustrated with performance.'
"But let’s not forget that this is ultimately just a game of baseball, and it doesn’t come down to hurting and sending out negative messages and threatening people’s families," Rodón added. "Honestly, I feel for my wife, because our kids mean the world to us, and our family is really important to us."

Carlos Rodon and his wife Ashley have already moved on as they continue to raise their three children Willow, Bo and Silo.
