New York Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Rodon is having a nightmarish postseason. Apart from dominating for six innings against the Cleveland Guardians during the ALCS, the Yankees ace has struggled to keep hitters at bay.
Even in the ongoing World Series against the LA Dodgers, he could only pitch 3.1 innings where he gave up four earned runs, including three home runs, resulting in a loss. Amid this, his wife, Ashley, shared a message on her social media.
Ahead of World Series Game 4, Ashley posted a message of gratitude to god, which reads:
"The greatest test of faith is when things don't go your way and you are still able to say, 'Thank you, God."'
Ashley Rodon's message to son Bo giving love to Carlos Rodon
A couple of weeks ago, Ashley Rodon became the voice of several baseball wives as she praised her husband's efforts and hard work.
Ashley captured a photo of Carlos Rodon playing baseball with their son Bo in the backyard. Sharing it on Instagram, she also wrote a message to Bo, highlighting the hard work his father puts in.
"One day I'll share with you something special about your dad," Ashley wrote to her son about his dad. "How he worked tirelessly so l could be home with you all, so l would never miss any milestone — big or small. How he lived and dreamed to give you three all he ever dreamed of having and so much more.
"How when he walked in the door, no matter how tired, he tried his best to be all you needed and more."
Carlos Rodon, who pitched despite having blisters, may get the nod to start a potential Game 6 should the Yankees keep the World Series alive by winning Game 5, which will have Gerrit Cole as the starter. From hereon, every game is a must-win encounter if they want to win the Fall Classic.
Rodon will be hoping for a chance to redeem himself and take the Yankees to the destined land.
