Cole Tucker's wife Vanessa Hudgens loves dogs since childhood. When Hudgens was dating actor Austin Butler, the High School Musical actress adopted a poodle in 2016 and named her Darla. Ever since, Darla has made into Hudgens' social media feed every now and then.
On Monday, Hudgens shared a sweet moment with Darla, snuggling up close and planting a tender kiss on its head. Dressed in a cozy, laid-back outfit, Hudgens, accompanied the story with three red heart emojis.
Before Darla came into her life, Vanessa Hudgens had shared a special connection with another poodle, she named Shadow.

The pet belonged to her younger sister, but since she was too young to take care of Shadow at the time, Hudgens took the responsibility of Shadow. Unfortunately, Shadow died in 2016.

Vanessa Hudgens and her former boyfriend Austin Butler found Darla living near the home of Austin's home. After noticing that Darla wasn't being kept well, Austin's mom took it upon herself to adopt Darla from its previous owners. After Austin's mom died, Butler and Hudgens adopted the little poodle in 2016.
After dating for eight years, the couple parted ways in 2020. Hudgens took Darla along with herself and continues to take care of her pet. During an interview with Cosmopolitan in Dec. 2018, Hudgens shared about Darla's growth alongside her.
"My little guy. She’s like four years old. She’s a rescue. When I met her she wouldn’t even let me touch her—she was so afraid of people, especially men. She’s come full circle and is this cuddly sweetheart. My spunky sweetheart angel pup," Hudgens told Cosmopolitan.
Hudgens and Darla met Cole Tucker in 2020, and their relationship blossomed the following Valentine's Day. After three years of dating, Tucker and Hudgens announced their engagement on February 9, 2023.
On December 2, 2023, at Azulik Hotel in Tulum, Mexico, the couple exchanged their vows. Earlier in July, the couple became parents to a newborn.
