They studied in the same high school in Kannapolis, North Carolina and dated shortly after crossing paths for the first time on the school grounds.

They were in a long-distance relationship as the former was playing for the LA Dodgers while Madisyn attended college in North Carolina. Corey proposed to Madisyn on December 7, 2019 while watching Tom Brady in action at a Patriots NFL game at the Gillette Stadium in Boston.
The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful wedding ceremony on December 5, 2020, at Saddle Wood Farms in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary last year.
