In a recent interview with ESPN, Skubal discussed the tremendous season he has been having, as well as some of his baseball inspirations. Additionally, the 27-year-old spoke to his promotion at Comerica Park this weekend. In honor of players weekend, Tarik Skubal designed a special "Snack Burger" that will be sold to fans in Detroit over the weekend.
"Eat like the Tigers ace! #PlayersWeekend Come out to @ComericaPark this weekend and try the Skubal Snack Burger, which features bacon, pepper jack cheese and a fried egg. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Skubal's charity of choice, Alternatives for Girls." - MLB
The sandwich will include bacon, pepper jack cheese, mayonnaise, and a fried egg, and will be available to fans over the course of the Tigers' weekend series against the New York Yankees. Additionally, Skubal was sure to see that the profits go to a worthy cause.
According to Tarik Skubal, all of the proceeds will go to Alternatives for Girls, a local Detroit Foundation that aims to help young women who have been victims of domestic violence get the help they need and regain their dignity.
