"Dad body of hell," one added.
"On the same training program as Mahomes," another quipped.
"Kershaw looks like he is ready for beer belly softball," another said.

Kershaw did not pitch at all in the postseason. In fact, he hasn't pitched since Aug. 30. Each postseason round raised questions about his potential roster return, but his brief appearance against the Arizona Diamondbacks ended up being his last for the season.

Despite that and their overall lack of pitching depth, the Dodgers were able to ride an outstanding offense and some clutch performances to defeat the New York Yankees in the World Series.

Clayton Kershaw opens up on not playing in World Series

Clayton Kershaw has ample postseason and World Series experience, but this year he was unable to utilize any of it. Injuries prevented him from potentially being the fourth starter for the LA Dodgers.

Talking about his being sidelined due to injury, he said (via Clutch Points):

“Obviously, you want to be playing and be with the boys, but it's been really fun honestly (cheering on the Dodgers). Basically just being a kid, being in Yankee Stadium for a World Series game with a front row seat… I'm just super thankful that I get to be a part of it. They're letting me travel, hang out, be with the boys. I'm having a great time.”

Although the Dodgers had to rely on bullpen days several times during the playoffs, they managed to overcome the shortage of starting pitching, ultimately achieving a thrilling five-game victory and securing their eighth franchise championship.
