"Daddy got that dawg in him" - Dallas Keuchel's wife Kelly Nash celebrates former Astros pitcher's 7th strikeout for Triple-A team

Former Houston Astros Star Dallas Keuchel is turning heads with his pitching performance for the Triple-A team Tacoma Rainiers, which is the triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. His wife Kelly Nash couldn’t contain her excitement after he recorded his 7th strikeout on Sunday.

Kelly took to Instagram to share a screenshot from X, celebrating Keuchel’s impressive gameplay.

“Daddy got that dawg in him,” Nash wrote as the caption.

Keuchel showed dominant play on June 16 against the Round Rock Express team. He pitched six scoreless innings and struck out seven batters, allowing just two hits and one walk which helped the Rainiers beat the Round Rock by 4-0.

In April the Seattle Mariners signed him to play for their Triple-A team after he failed to get selected with a MLB team. He showed his best performance in the 2020 season where he had a record of 6-2 and an ERA of 1.66.

Unfortunately, Keuchel was unable to maintain his form, and since 2021, he had an ERA of 6.35 in 222 innings. However, after he started playing in the MiLB, he slowly began to regain his form. He currently has an ERA of 4.15 and a record of 6-4. He has struck out 42 players till now with a WHIP of 1.23.

When Kelly Nash talked about her inspiration behind her Sports Broadcaster job

Kelly Nash, wife of former Astros pitcher Dallas Keuchel, is making waves in the sports broadcasting world. In a recent interview on June 5th with the “Diggin’ Deep podcast," where both Dallas and Kelly were present, she revealed the person who was the main inspiration behind her pursuing this field.

“At the time, I finished college finally in 2010, every team did not have a female presence. It was Erin Andrews,” Nash said.

“She started with the Tampa Bay Lighting which I watched. She kind of set the tone to every team having a female on the broadcast,” said Nash in the podcast.

Erin Andrews is a famous female broadcaster who has worked with companies like FOX Sports and ESPN.

Kelly had her first job with the ACC network after she completed her Master’s Degree in television broadcast journalism. She went on to become the sideline reporter for Fox Sports Florida, after which she landed her current job as an MLB broadcaster in 2015.
