All the attention has been on Boston Red Sox utility man Kike Hernandez ever since he opened up about the unfortunate toilet incident during the 2020 playoffs.
In a promotional video for the Red Sox, Hernandez was speaking with the team's third baseman Justin Turner when the former was asked about his most embarrassing moment.
Hernandez responded by recounting an event from the 2020 NLDS against the San Diego Padres. In that game, he struck out after three pitches due to a diarrhea-inducing antibiotic and went back to the bench. The utility man apparently assumed he only broke wind but it was excrement.
“I was DHing and I thought I farted. I went out to lead off the inning [and] I struck out in three pitches," mentioned Hernandez, explaining the mess.
