Thursday’s game ended in a 9-3 loss for the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Dodger Stadium. It marked their second consecutive loss to the D-backs, following a previous 12-4 defeat.
The Diamondbacks took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning and added two more runs in the third, shutting out the opposing team. The Dodgers responded in the fourth inning, scoring three runs.
Enrique Hernández grounded out, allowing Andy Pages to score. Shortly after, Austin Barnes singled, bringing in Miguel Vargas and Chris Taylor. However, after these runs, the Dodgers' offense stalled and they were unable to score again.
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker hit five home runs during the three-game series against the Dodgers. Fans reacted to Walker’s achievement on X/Twitter and discussed the Dodgers' defeats:

The Dodgers' pitching staff allowed nine earned runs on 12 hits with five walks and nine strikeouts. Despite recent struggles, the Dodgers (53-35) lead the NL West standings.

Dodgers superstar and top-of-the-lineup Shohei Ohtani recorded no hits on three at-bats, no RBIs, one walk and three strikeouts. Their offense recorded six hits on 33 at-bats with three RBIs, three walks and 12 strikeouts.
Talking about the game, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said:
“They all played us. I mean on the hitting side obviously that the situational, getting on base, collecting hits, taking walks and then on the pitching side. I thought with Gallen we did a great job of getting the pitch count up getting them out after four innings.”
“I thought that was great four or five innings. Didn’t have anything to show for but I really thought that was good at-bats and put up three runs against them. And after that we just couldn’t do anything after that,” Roberts added.
The Los Angeles Dodgers start their next three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers at Dodger Stadium on Friday.
