LA Dodgers catcher Will Smith and his wife Cara turned heads at the 82nd edition of the Golden Globes with their outfits, as their fellow teammates reacted to the post. The event, hosted by actress Nikki Glaser, was held on Sunday at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

On Sunday, Cara shared a post of the couple's outfits for the star-studded event on social media. She wore a gold sequin gown which had a high neckline. Meanwhile, Smith wore a classic black tuxedo, complete with a bow tie and pocket square. The couple posed outdoors with the caption:

"Golden Globes with my favorite date✨."

The couple’s picture drew reactions from friends, fans and fellow MLB families. Kristen Edman, wife of Dodgers infielder Tommy Edman, expressed her admiration with heart-eye emojis:

"Perfection."

Dodgers reliever Alex Vesia’s wife Kayla reacted:

"STUNNING"

The picture also caught the attention of Crystal Kung Minkoff, a reality TV star from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, who jokingly commented:

Will Smith's newborn daughter arrived with World Series luck

Will Smith and Cara started the year knowing they would remain with the Dodgers for the next 10 years as the club signed the catcher to a $140 million extension before the season began.

The Dodgers, stuffed with almost an All-Star hitting unit spearheaded by Shohei Ohtani, cruised to the postseason, winning the NL West.

They overcame a nail-biting NLDS clash against the San Diego Padres before triumphing over the New York Mets in the NLCS. The NL pennant series ended at the right time as it allowed the catcher to be with his wife Cara during the birth of their second daughter Layton on Oct. 22.

The World Series started shortly after, as the Dodgers went on to take down the New York Yankees in five games.

After Game 5 ended in the Dodgers' favor, Cara was in attendance at Yankee Stadium with her two daughters, Charlotte Ann George and Layton. She posted a heartwarming message, giving her followers a glimpse of a memorable week:

"I will never get over this!! A week… one week… in between having our second daughter & the dodgers winning the World Series😭🙌🏼 >>naturally laytons trophy pic needed a moment🏆 "

Now with the offseason, Smith would like to spend quality time with his family before getting into the baseball grind in spring.
