The four-game series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks has lived up to its hype. The teams battled in two close games with the Dodgers winning both.
Heading into the third game, the Dodgers are 6.0 games ahead of the D-backs at the top of the NL West. LA's performance is the best it's been all season, having won 16 of the last 21 games. Meanwhile Arizona lost momentum winning only one out of the past four games, after a two series sweeps over the Marlins and Red Sox.

Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks: game 3 prediction
Rookie Justin Wrobleski will start on the mound for the Dodgers. The right-handed pitcher has a record of 1-1 with a 4.68 ERA over his five starts. He will have his work cut out against a strong Diamondbacks lineup led by Corbin Carroll, who hit an inside the park lead off home run on Saturday. Carroll has a 10-game hit streak that he'll try to continue. Los Angeles will also look to consolidate right from the opening innings as in the first two games of the series.
Artizona's pitching staff is averaging 4.70 ERA over the last ten starts, and Brandon Pfaadt is scheduled to start on Sunday. In his last three starts, Pfaadt has a disastrous 7.41 ERA on 25 hits allowed; however, he also had 21 strikeouts.
Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman all went back-to-back home runs in the first inning. They are expected to be leading the team once again. However, Miguel Rojas has the best ten-game stretch for the team hitting 13-34 with six RBIs and one home run.
