LA Dodgers catcher Will Smith and his wife Cara went to his native Louisville for a two-day trip for a family event, and also made time to attend Louisville Baseball Leadoff Dinner organized on Friday night. Smith attended Kentucky Country Day School in Louisville and played college baseball there.
On Saturday, Cara posted photos from their time in Louisville. They attended the annual dinner in coordinated all-black attire at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, which featured alumni Henry Davis and Tyler Fitzgerald as guests for this year.
For the event, Cara stepped out in a tailored black blazer dress, which she paired with sheer black tights and sleek pointed-toe heels. A delicate chain necklace and a matching black clutch completed her look.
Smith, on the other hand, opted for a black crew-neck shirt beneath a tailored black suit. He wore classic black loafers.
The event kicked off at 7 pm ET on Friday.
The Louisville Baseball Leadoff Dinner is an annual event, organized every year since 1996. The dinner has hosted some of baseball's biggest stars including Adam Duvall, Jose Bautista, Josh Hamilton, Andy Pettitte, Joe Girardi, Derek Jeter, etc. in prior years.
Will Smith and Cara attend friend's baby shower
The couple's trip to Louisville wasn't only limited to attending the baseball dinner of his alma mater.
Will Smith and Cara also attended what appears to be the baby shower of Micaela Wang's newborn, a friend of the couple. Micaela and her husband Vance got married in Nov. 2024.
Micaela posted a photo where she returned a sweet cake to Cara for making her presence felt.
"I'm always spoiled around here by Cara," Micaela wrote.
In response, Cara reposted her story and wrote:
"Gotto see her baby and she delivered me a cake."
Will Smith and Cara first met on the campus of the University of Louisville. They got engaged in 2019 and the following year in Dec., they exchanged their vows. The couple share two kids: Charlotte Ann Smith (born in October 2022) and Layton Elizabeth Smith (born in October 2024).
