New York Yankees star Aaron Judge is coming off the back of a season for the history books. He broke Roger Maris' record of 61 homers in a season with his 62nd coming against the Texas Rangers in October last year. He was subsequently adjudged the American League MVP, edging Los Angeles Angels' Shohei Ohtani.
Judge hit free agency at the end of the season and then inked a nine-year, $360 million contract to seal his return to the Yankees. He was also bestowed with the team captaincy, a position last filled by "Captain Clutch" Derek Jeter in 2014.
Judge married Samantha Bracksieck in December 2021. The two went to school together in Linden, California. They dated during high school and attended Fresno State University together. Samantha completed her master's degree in Kinesiology from the same university.
The couple rekindled their romance in 2019 and got engaged sometime in 2021. They have not yet embraced parenthood.

Aaron Judge's 2022 season
Aaron Judge had a stellar 2022 MLB season with the New York Yankees, posting a batting average of .311, fifth best across the major leagues. He hit a world record 62 homers, and apart from that, he topped the leaderboard for RBIs (131) and OPS (1.111).
It will be interesting to see if Judge thrives with the additional responsibility of the captaincy thrust upon him next season.
