Francisco Lindor is one of the most electric shortstops in baseball today. His combination of power and speed makes him a fan favorite wherever he plays. The New York Mets star will help lead the most expensive MLB payroll in history this upcoming season, as the team added several key free agents this offseason.

"The @Yankees and @Mets both have the best pitching staff in baseball right now but I would have to pick the Yankees with @GerritCole45 and Carlos Rodon because they have dominated the majors since they started playing baseball. @JustinVerlander is the best. #respect" - Brandon Schaer
Not only will the Mets get a boost from their new additions, but Francisco Lindor bounced back last season, becoming the superstar they expected him to be. In 161 games last season, Lindor maintained a .270 batting average while slugging 26 home runs and 107 RBIs.
The 29-year-old quickly turned around his favor with Mets fans after a difficult first season in New York. The shortstop and his wife, Katia Reguero, welcomed their first child together in December 2020.
